Ptilodactylidae — Elateriformia guruhiga mansub qo‘ng‘izlar oilasi. Ushbu oilaga mansub 35 ta urug‘ tarkibida taxminan 500 ga yaqin hozirgi kunda mavjud turlar tavsiflangan. Vakillari asosan daryo va suv havzalari bo‘ylaridagi nam muhitlar bilan bog‘liq holda yashaydi. Lichinkalari ko‘pincha chirigan yog‘och va o‘simlik qoldiqlari bilan bog‘liq holda, shuningdek, suv havzalari chetidagi shag‘al va cho‘kindi orasida uchraydi. Ayrim turlarining lichinkalari suv ostidagi chirigan yog‘och yoki o‘simlik ildizlari bilan oziqlanadi, ayrim voyaga yetgan hasharotlar esa o‘zgargan cho‘tkasimon yuqori jag‘lari yordamida zamburug‘lar bilan oziqlanishi ma’lum[1].
