Maria Massi Dakake (/ˈdeɪˌkeɪk/ DAY-kayk) – islomshunoslik boʻyicha amerikalik olima va George Mason universitetida dinshunoslik kafedrasi dotsenti^[1]^[2]. Uning tadqiqotlari asosan islom intellektual tarixi, Qurʼonshunoslik, shia va soʻfiy anʼanalari, ayollarning maʼnaviyati va diniy tajribasiga qaratilgan. U The Study Quran – Qurʼonni oyatma-oyat zamonaviy sharhlovchi asarga ham mualliflik qilgan^[3].

Hayoti

Dakake 1990-yilda Cornell universitetida Davlat boshqaruvi boʻyicha bakalavrlik darajasini oladi va 1998 hamda 2000-yillarda mos ravishda Yaqin Sharq tadqiqotlari boʻyicha Prinston universitetida magistrlik va doktorlik darajalarini tamomladi. U George Mason universitetida magistratura dasturi direktori va Ali Vural Ak Global islom tadqiqotlari markazining asoschi aʼzosi hamda sobiq vaqtinchalik direktori (2015–2016) hisoblanadi. U 2000-yildan beri George Mason universitetida ishlaydi va dinshunoslik kafedrasiga raislik qilgan. George Mason universitetiga qoʻshilishidan oldin, Dakake qoʻshimcha professor sifatida Nyu-Jersi kollejida va Prinston universitetida oʻqituvchi (preceptor) boʻlib dars bergan^[4].
