Object history

Deutsch: Der Rat der Gemeinde Heere hat das vorstehend beschriebene Wappen angenommen, das am 30. August 1988 genehmigt wurde.

English: Granted 30 August 1988.
The hat was used as arms by the medieval Lords of Heere, known since 1293. The division of the shield symbolises the two villages, Klein- and Großheere, which now form one municipality. This is again symbolised, the two villages now live 'under one hat'.
The division also refers to the fact that the village historically has been on the border between the Duchy of Braunschweig and the State of Hildesheim. The colours are those from the Lords of Heere as well as (partly) from Braunschweig and Hildesheim.

Français : concédé 30 août 1988.

Other versions

This coat of arms image could be re-created using vector graphics as a SVG file. This has several advantages; see Commons:Media for cleanup for more information. If a SVG form of this image is available, please upload it and afterwards replace this template with {{vector version available|new image name}}.
It is recommended to name the SVG file “Wappen Heere.svg”—then the template Vector version available (or Vva) does not need the new image name parameter.
