Jahrhundert verliehenen Stadtrechte.
English: The arms were granted in 1913 and show the lion of the Palatinate rising from a canting mountain (Berg).
Stromberg received city rights in the 13th century from the Counts of the Pfalz, who had one of their residencies in the city. The oldest seal of the city is known from the 15th century and shows a quartered shield. The first and fourth quarter showed a chequy field, the second and third a crowned lion. The chequy field is derived from the arms of the Fauste von Stromberg family, the lion is the lion of the Palatinate; the mural crown symbolises the city rights. |
