Deutsch: Die Sense im Schildhaupt erinnert sowohl an das spätmittelalterliche Ortsadelsgeschlecht der Herren von Schmidgaden als auch an die bis in das 20. Jahrhundert starke landwirtschaftliche Prägung der Gemeinde. Das für den Gemeindeteil Buchtal redende Element Buche im Tal steht für das weltbekannte Keramikunternehmen Buchtal. Die Farben Weiß und Rot verweisen auf die Paulsdorfer, die als Patronatsherren eng mit der Pfarrkirche Schmidgaden in Verbindung standen. |
