Deutsch: „Das Wappen zeigt in der oberen Hälfte des Schildes einen halben doppelschweifigen, blaugekrönten, bewehrten und bezungten Löwen in silbernem Felde, in der unteren Hälfte drei goldene Fische in blauem Felde.“ Der Gemeinde ist mit Urkunde des Regierungspräsidenten in Köln vom 26.11.1970 das Recht zur Führung eines Wappens, eines Siegels und eines Banners verliehen worden. Das Wappen der Gemeinde ist die Nachbildung eines Schöffensiegels des ehemaligen Landgerichtes in Neunkirchen. Das Wappenschild hat eine waagerecht zweigeteilte Form. Der Bergische Löwe dokumentiert die frühere Zugehörigkeit des Gebietes zum Herzogtum Berg. Die Fische im Schildfuß symbolisieren den Fischreichtum der Gemeinde.
English: „The upper part shows the lion of Berg, as the area belonged historically to the county of Berg. The lower part shows the fish as a symbol for the fisheries. The arms are based on the seal of the village from 1556 of Neunkirchen.“
