Deutsch: Der Fuchs steht redend für den Ortsnamen. Die beiden silbernen Balken im roten Feld sind das Wappen der Herren von Fuchsstadt. Dieses Ortsadelsgeschlecht war mit den fuldischen Besitzungen im Gemeindegebiet belehnt. Das Fürststift Fulda ist seit 907 in Fuchsstadt belegt. |
