English: The Bimaculated Lark is a large and beautifully patterned lark recognized by its sandy-brown plumage, streaked feathers, pale underparts, and distinctive dark patches on the sides of the neck. Its earthy tones provide excellent camouflage in dry grasslands and open plains. In India, this migratory species is mainly recorded in northern regions including Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, and parts of Punjab during winter movements. It inhabits arid plains, scrublands, agricultural fields, and semi-desert landscapes. Omnivorous by nature, it feeds on seeds, grains, insects, and small invertebrates while moving cautiously across open habitats. Photographed in Jaisalmer, Rajashtan, India
